Sea Salt & Kelp Spa Bar

Description

Currently, my favourite bar of soap in the shower, this saltwater soap feels like you’re at the spa! Traditionally called a soleseife or brine bar, these bars are made by adding sea salt to the water and lye mixture. The result is a creamy, almost lotion-like lather. These are hard, dense bars that get very smooth with use, but they are not scratchy. They almost feel like you’re lathering up with a smooth river rock! To up the spa feeling, kelp powder has been added and a refreshing blend of peppermint and lavender essential oil. The colours in this bar are all-natural and come from french green clay and indigo powder.

SCENT

This soap is scented with a gorgeous essential oil blend of Peppermint and Lavender. This gives it that invigorating kick from the peppermint, but a relaxing undertone from the lavender. The kelp does give a bit of a faint ocean scent to the bar as well, but it is mostly overpowered by the essential oils. A favourite scent of mine!

Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Salt Water { distilled water + sea salt }, Sodium Hydroxide, Shea Butter, Sweet Almond Oil, Avocado Oil, Castor Oil, Essential Oil Blend { peppermint + lavender }, Kelp Powder, French Green Clay, Indigo Powder, Pink Himalayan Sea Salt.

TIPS FOR EXTENDING THE LIFE OF YOUR SOAP

Place your soap in a dish that drains (not flat on the tile or in a non-draining dish!) and ensure that it doesn’t get wet between uses. This is optional, but it will definitely make your soap last longer.
